BACKGROUND
The company is a leading manufacturer in the off-highway tire market and specializes in the manufacture of tires for Agricultural, Industrial
and OTR vehicles. The tire vulcanizing process requires hot water at a temp of 172 °C. As per the process, once the hot water cycle is complete and before filling the bladder with fresh cold water, heat recovery is done by feeding the heat to the hot water tank. This process of waste heat recovery and utilization is a high potential energy conservation method. Before the implementation of the project, substantial portion of the heat content in return hot water was being lost as flash steam in the HBD tank.

FUJI ELECTRIC SOLUTION
A team of engineers from Fuji Electric studied the requirement & supplied automation system involving SPH PLC for discrete I/Os, PXF series
single loop PID Controller, 7” HMI and variable frequency drive with all end to end assistance ranging from complete design, supply, testing
to the installation of all hardware and software provided under one roof. The Solution helped to recover the waste heat. Fuji also deployed a CEMS solution at the facility.

RESULT
The customer is satisfied by the solution proposed as they have been able to Saved 2429MT Coal.
